No Caption Chester County Issues Burn Ban for All Open Burning Starting 10/27/24

The Chester County Commissioners implement a Countywide Burn Ban on open burning due to the growing drought conditions and the high fire danger risk to the public. The Burn Ban goes into effect on Sunday, October 27th at 5pm and remains in place for 30 days unless extended or canceled by the Commissioners.

Accident with Entrapment on Route 100

Ridge Fire Company, November 13

Just before 8:30pm , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 and Medic 329-1 were dispatched to the area of Route 100 and Pughtown Road for an accident with entrapment. Assistant and Battalion 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one patient heavily entrapped. Rescue 62 arrived and quickly went into service with hydraulic tools removing the doors and roof. Ridge Fire Company , November 08

Just before 2pm Brush and Engine 62-5 were requested to assist Station 73 on a working brush fire off of the 300 Block of Nantmeal Rd in East Nantmeal Twp. Brush 62 arrived and worked with Brush 48 (Glen Moore) on a secontion of brush that had extended from the orginal field and brush fire that Brush 73 had been bringing under control. Brush and Tanker Assist in Kimberton

Just before 1pm Station 62 was dispatched for Brush 62 to assist Station 61 (Kimberton) on the 1100 block of Pike Springs Road (Route 113) with a brush fire along the roadway spreading up a hillside. At approximately 4:30am , Station 62 was initially dispatched to standby at Station 48 ( Glen Moore) but was almost immediately directed to proceed to assist Station 48 with a woods fire estimated at approximately 5 acres, on a steep rocky hillside. Shortly after 3:30am, on Sunday morning, Engine 62-5 was dispatched to relocate to Twin Valley FD (Station 69) while they were assisting Lancaster County Station 34 (Caernarvon Fire Co) on a barn fire off of N. Just after 5pm , Station 62 was dispatched to the 200 block of Bishop Road for a brush fire. 62 Chief Officers arrived and found a fire in a field and was spreading. Just before midnight Engine 62-5 relocated to Station 68 (Valley Forge Fire Company) while they operated on a house fire. Engine 62-5 was out until just after 2am.
