New Pumper Tanker Build Has Begun

After close to 3 years of patiently, but eagerly waiting for the production of our new Pumper Tanker to begin, the wait is finally over! Over the past several weeks the New Engine 62-5 has been taking shape. Tuesday Night Drill
Ridge Fire Company, June 24
This evening to beat the heat for our weekly drill , members took Engine 62-1, Engine 62-5, Rescue 62, and Brush 62 down to Cooks Glen Road to practice our drafting skills. When drafting , we utilize a local water source to supply the engine and this is used in an area that may not be equipped with fire hydrants. Morning Accident and Evening Storm Cause Traffic Issues

Just before 11am on Thursday June 19th Station 62 and MICU 84 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to Rt 100 in the area of Pigeon Creek Road in South Coventry Twp for an Auto Accident. Chief 62 went enroute and was advised it was reported to be a total of 4 vehicles blocking including a dump truck and a rollback truck. A New Fire Fighter 1 Graduate Joins the Ranks

This Evening Officers and Members traveled to the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus in South Coatesville for the Spring 2025 Fire Fighter One Graduation where 21 new cadets received their certs after completing a 200+ Hours Essentials of Fire Fighting course over the past 3 months. Amongst the graduates was Ridge Fire Fighter Carmen Shields who joined the company in mid 2024.

Early Morning House Fire in West Vincent Township

Just before 6am Station 62 was dispatched to assist Station 73 (Ludwig’s Corner) for a reported house fire on the 2400 block of Flowing Springs Road in West Vincent Township. Battalion 47 (Lionville) arrived on the scene and confirmed a working house fire and asked for a first alarm tanker task force.
