High Winds Keep Station 62 Busy
Ridge Fire Company, February 16
This past afternoon a strong storm moved through the area causing sustained high winds causing trees as well as power lines to come down throughout our response area. Throughout the storm our firefighters and fire police responded to 15 emergencies which ranged from pole fires, building fires, trees blocking the roadway , and several accidents. EMS Overview Drill
Ridge Fire Company , February 11
This evening Chief Yerger of Goodwill EMS brought MICU 329-8 to Station 62 and gave members an in depth overview of the equipment carried and showed newer members how to use it. Chief Yerger also gave members an idea of what is expected of fire company members when assisting EMS crews on scene. This is an annual drill we hold and was very informative to all that attended. Ridge Fire Company, February 05
Just before 8pm, Station 62 and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the area of 724 and Fricks Lock Road for an accident with injuries. Deputy 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident involving a sedan and a utility truck. MICU 84-2 arrived and evaluated the patient while Traffic 62 shut traffic down at 724/Sanatoga Road. Single Vehicle Accident in East Coventry
Ridge Fire Company, January 15
Just before 8pm, Station 62 and MICU 329-8 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 1700 block of New Schuylkill Road for an accident with injuries. Chief 62 and Assistant 62 arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one patient confined in the vehicle. The assignment was upgraded to an accident with entrapment. Ridge Fire Company , January 10
Just after 6:30pm , Stations 62, 64 (Norco), and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Trinley Street for a chimney fire. Deputy 62 and Assistant 62 arrived to find a chimney fire that was out upon arrival. Just before 3pm , Station 62 and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the area of Ellis Woods Road and Halteman Road for an accident with injuries. Deputy 62 and arrived and found a two vehicle accident with multiple trapped patients. Just before 4:30pm today , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 700 block of Pughtown Road for an accident with injuries. As units were responding the assignment upgraded to an accident with entrapment.
