Morning Accident and Evening Storm Cause Traffic Issues

Just before 11am on Thursday June 19th Station 62 and MICU 84 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to Rt 100 in the area of Pigeon Creek Road in South Coventry Twp for an Auto Accident. Chief 62 went enroute and was advised it was reported to be a total of 4 vehicles blocking including a dump truck and a rollback truck. Rescue and Engine 62-2 arrived, and crews secured the scene, controlled fluids, and assisted with traffic control. EMS evaluated those involved in the accident. Fire Police were requested from Station 73 (Ludwigs Corner) to assist 62 Fire Police alternate traffic around the accident scene while wreckers were brought in to clear the roadway. Units operated on scene for about an hour.
Later Thursday Evening following a severe storm moving through the area, Station 62 was dispatched to a tree down blocking Rt 23 in Warwick Township. Engine 62-2 and the Fire police responded to secure the scene and get traffic controlled until the roadway could be reopened.
