Just before 5am , Station 62 along with other assisting companies were dispatched to the 400 block of South Hanover Street in Station 64’s (Norco) area for a structure fire, reported to be smoke coming from the residence. Crews from Station 64 and Montgomery County Station 69 (Pottstown) arrived to find heavy fire in the rear from the kitchen area and began initial fire suppression. Engine 62-5 and Engine 62-1 made the response, assisting crews with placing ground ladders, interior operations and overhaul. Crews also assisted Engine 64-2 with breaking down and repacking 650ft of supply line. Crews were in service for approximately three hours before returning to the station.
