Just before 1pm , Station 62, Montgomery County Station 51 (Limerick) for the Ladder and Engine and Medic 325-2(Friendship EMs) were dispatched to the 100 block of Anderson Road for a detached garage on fire. Chief 62 quickly arrived and reported a working garage fire. This brought in additional units from Station 51, Station 64 (Norco), Montgomery County Rescue 98 (Royersford) for the cascade & manpower, along with the Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office. Engine 62-1 arrived and went into service with an attack line on the fire along with wetting down the exposure. Engine 64-5 arrived and stretched a second line while Engine 62-5 supplied Engine 62-1. Crews from Station 51 and 98 assisted with overhaul. The fire was brought under control quickly. Crews remained on scene to assist with overhaul while the Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office conducted their investigation. Crews were in service for approximately two hours.
