Just before 2pm Station 62 was dispatched to Route 23 and Mount Pleasant Road for an accident with entrapment. Crews quickly arrived to find no entrapment. Crews on scene provided traffic control and removed debris. While enroute back to the station , Chief 62 was traveling on the 1900 block of Ridge Road and located a single vehicle into a pole. Chief 62 quickly cleared this accident with a notification to PECO. Shortly after the second accident , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the area of Fricks Lock Road and New Schuylkill Road for an accident with entrapment. Chief 62 and Deputy 62 arrived to find a vehicle on its side over the guard rail. The crew of Rescue 62 arrived and removed the windshield of the vehicle to free the patient. EMS evaluated the patient. Fire Police were requested to shut the roadway down as the vehicle was removed . Traffic 62,Traffic 64 (NORCO) , and Montgomery County Traffic 51 (Limerick) shut the road down while crews worked to remove the vehicle. The final call of the day came at approximately 5:30pm , when Station 62 was dispatched with Station 64 (Norco) to the 1500 block of Temple Road. Engine 62-1 and Engine 62-5 made the response but were recalled prior to arrival.
