This past afternoon a strong storm moved through the area causing sustained high winds causing trees as well as power lines to come down throughout our response area. Throughout the storm our firefighters and fire police responded to 15 emergencies which ranged from pole fires, building fires, trees blocking the roadway , and several accidents. Members were out throughout the evening. Pictured below is an accident that occurred on Route 100 in South Coventry and smoke in the building on the 300 block of West Schuylkill Road in North Coventry Township. Please remember if you see a power line down , assume it is live and use caution in the area.
