At approximately 5:30pm, Station 62 along with Medic 325 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the area of Route 23 and Ellis Woods Road for an accident with entrapment. Lieutenant 62 arrived to report a three vehicle accident with one vehicle on its roof with the occupant still inside. The occupant was quickly removed. Rescue 62 arrived to assist with hazard control and debris removal. Engine 62-2, Utility 62-1, and 62 Fire Police shut down Route 23 around the accident scene while crews operated. M325 transported one patient to a local hospital. Crews were in service for just over an hour before returning to the station.
Just after 8:00pm Station 62 along with Medic 329 (Goodwill EMS) were called to the area of Bethel Church Road and Ellis Woods Road for an accident with entrapment, reported to be one vehicle overturned. Deputy 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one overturned. There was not entrapment, as the occupant of the vehicle self-extricated prior to arrival. Rescue 62 and Engine 62-2 arrived and assisted with hazard control and debris removal. Utility 62-1 also made the response and assisted with manpower on the scene. Medic 329-8 transported one occupant to a local hospital for treatment. 62 Fire Police closed the road down to ensure the safety of crews operating at the scene. Crews were in service for just under an hour on this accident scene.
