Tree Fire on New Schuylkill Road

Just after 4pm, Chief 62 and Engine 62-2 responded to the 2000 block of New Schuylkill Road (Route 724) for a tree smoking along the roadway. Chief 62 arrived to find a tree on fire. Engine 62-2 arrived and quickly extinguished the fire with a booster line. Engine 62-2 was in service for about 15 minutes before returning to the station.
