Just before 10am, Station 62 along with MICU 83-4 (Friendship) were called to the area of Porters Mill Road and Pigeon Creek Road for an auto accident. Chief 62 arrived to find a single vehicle on its side with the occupant trapped inside. Upon arrival crews from Rescue 62 and Utility 62-1 went into service stabilizing the vehicle and folding the roof down to free the occupant. EMS transported the occupant to a local hospital. Fire Police detoured traffic around the accident scene while Pennsylvania State Police conducted their investigation. Units were in service for approximately one hour before returning to service.
