Just after midnight Station 62 along with MICU 83-4 (Friendship EMS of Royersford) were dispatched to the area of the 600 block of Ridge Road for an auto accident reported to be a vehicle spun out off the road. Rescue 62amd Engine 62-1 went responding as Assistant 62 and Battalion 62 arrived on location reporting a single vehicle accident with one off the road the driver still inside the vehicle. The assignment was upgraded to an accident with entrapment. The crew of Rescue 62 utilized the spreaders to pop the door and extricate the driver. The operator was evaluated by paramedics on the scene and units from Station 62 remained on scene for an hour providing scene lighting and removing debris from the highway. Station 62 Fire Police provided traffic control for units operating on the scene. Units were back in station around 1am.
