Just before 8pm, Station 62 and MICU 329-8 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 1700 block of New Schuylkill Road for an accident with injuries. Chief 62 and Assistant 62 arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one patient confined in the vehicle. The assignment was upgraded to an accident with entrapment. As Rescue 62 arrived , the patient was removed from the vehicle. The crew of Rescue 62 assisted with packaging the patient and preparing for transport by MICU 329-8. Engine 62-1 arrived and assisted with hazard control/debris removal. 62 Fire Police shut 724 down on both sides as crews operated on the scene. Crews were in service for approximately one hour before returning to the station.
