Just before 3pm , Station 62 and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the area of Ellis Woods Road and Halteman Road for an accident with injuries. Deputy 62 and arrived and found a two vehicle accident with multiple trapped patients. Deputy 62 requested 2 additional ambulances to the scene which brought in MICU 83-4 (Friendship EMS) and Medic 329-6 (Goodwill EMS) to the scene. Rescue 62 arrived and quickly began utilizing hydraulic tools to extricate the trapped patients while the crews of Utility 62-1 Engine 62-2 assisted. 62 Fire Police shut the roads down to allow crews to operate safely. EMS transported the patients to area hospitals for treatment and crews cleared the highway of debris while East Coventry Police investigated.
