Just before 4:30pm today , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 700 block of Pughtown Road for an accident with injuries. As units were responding the assignment upgraded to an accident with entrapment. Chief 62 and Assistant 62 arrived to find an SUV overturned after striking a telephone pole, splitting the pole in half. The occupant of the vehicle was out upon arrival. Rescue 62 and Engine 62-1 arrived and assisted with debris removal. MICU 84-2 evaluated the occupant of the vehicle. PECO was called to the scene. 62 Fire Police shut Pughtown Road down to allow crews to safely operate on the scene. Crews operated on the scene for about an hour.
