Accident with Entrapment on Route 100

Just before 8:30pm , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 and Medic 329-1 were dispatched to the area of Route 100 and Pughtown Road for an accident with entrapment. Assistant and Battalion 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one patient heavily entrapped. Rescue 62 arrived and quickly went into service with hydraulic tools removing the doors and roof. Engine 62-2 and Utility 62-1’s crews assisted the Rescue’s crew with extricating the patient. After a complex extrication, the crews of Medic 329-1 and MICU 84-2 stabilized and quickly transported the patient to a local trauma center for treatment. 62 Fire Police shut down traffic while crews operated on the scene and Pennsylvania State Police completed their investigation. Crews were in service for just over an hour.
