Just after 4pm, Station 62 was dispatched along with numerous Chester County and Montgomery County Units to assist Montgomery County Station 53 (Lower Providence) with a large brush fire that was located on an island along the Schuylkill River. Brush 62 and Utility 62-1 with UTV responded and reported to staging at Lot 60. To access the fire crews utilized numerous boats to transport forestry equipment and manpower to extinguish the fire. Station 62 crews were on the scene for approximately four hours before returning to the Station.
