Just after 3pm, Station 64 (Norco) was dispatched to the 2100 block of Coventryville Road for a brush fire. Shortly after responding Deputy 64 observed a large column of smoke and arrived to find a large brush fire rapidly spreading. Deputy upgraded the assignment requesting Station 62 for the ATV , Brush, and Engine 62-5 as well as tankers from the surrounding area and the DCNR Foresty Units . Utility 62-1 responded first with the ATV followed by Brush 62 and Engine 62-5. Brush 62 and ATV 62 quickly went into service assisting with extinguishing the fire and keeping it from spreading further . Engine 62-5 supplied units on the scene with water. Units were in service for nearly 4 hours before returning back to the station.
