The Super Bowl Party Started Early for the Ridge Fire Company
On Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 14:53 Hours Chester County Dispatch alerted Ridge Fire Co. (Station 62) and West End Ambulance's Sub-Station (MICU 1-67) for Auto Accident in the area of Bethel Church Rd and Schuylkill Rd (Rt 724) in East Coventry Township. Deputy 62 arrived on scene and corrected the location to on Schuylkill Rd in front of Farmer's Daughter's Farm Store by Reitnour Rd in East Vincent Township. Rescue 62 was already committed to Bethel Church and then responded up Schuylkill Rd to the Scene. Squad 62 was then directed to respond down Reitnour Rd to the Scene. First in units found a vehicle sitting in the East Bound lane with front-end damage after striking the embankment. Injuries were minor and MICU 1-67 evaluated the occupant.
While on Scene, 62 Units were advised of a Second Call for a Helicopter Landing in South Coventry Township with Mont Co MICU-329 (Goodwill of Potts town). Squad 62 then responded with Chief 62 and additional manpower back to Station 62 for Engine 62-2. Engine 62-2 responded with the Chief along with Squad 62 to the Owen J. Roberts High School For the LZ. MedEvac-3 was going to be the Flight Service handling the call. 62 units arrived at the School prior to 329's arrival and set-up the LZ in the bus parking out. Once MedEvac-3 was on the ground firefighters assisted in loading the patient in to the helicopter and MedEvac- 3 lifted off in route to Hahnemann University Hospital, Chief 62 placed all 62 and 329 Units available from the helicopter landing and cleared the school

While clearing the scene at the High School the 329 unit came across a minor 3 Vehicle accident at the intersection of Cadmus Rd and Pottstown Pike (Rt 100) in South Coventry Township. 329 advised Chester County Dispatch that Station 62 was required for debris and fluids on the roadway. Chief 62 advised Chester County that Engine 62-2 and Squad 62 would handle the call. The 329 unit check all the occupants for injuries and then cleared the scene available. Engine 62-2 and Squad 62 applied oil dry and swept the roadway of debris. State Police completed their investigation and all 62 units went available from the scene.

Later that evening before Kick Off at 17:05 Hours Chester County Dispatched alerted Ridge Fire Co (Station 62) and West End Ambulance's Sub Station (MICU 1-67) for and Auto Accident with possible Fire on Ridge Rd (Rt 23) and Ebelhare Rd in East Vincent Township. Deputy and Battalion 62 arrived on scene stating two-vehicle accident with no fire. Rescue 62 and Engine 62-2 responded and secured the vehicles for towing and also cleared debris from the roadway. MICU 1-67-2 evaluated all occupants of the vehicles and then cleared the scene available with sign offs. Traffic 62 and Fire Police shut down Ridge Rd between Ebelhare/Bertolet School Rd and at Ridge Rd and Porters Mill Rd ntil Chief62 placed all unit returning and available at 17:58 Hours.
