Late Night Accident has Responders Looking Up!
On Wednesday, August 8, 2011 at 2203Hrs the Chester County Fire Board alerted the Ridge Fire Co. (Station 62) and Goodwill Ambulance of Pottstown (Medic 329) for an auto accident on Rt. 100 south of Daisy Point Rd in South Coventry Twp. Chief 62 (McMillan) was advised there was a vehicle pinned between a wall and a pole in the callers front yard. Deputy 62 (Kolb) arrived on scene and found a car on top of a 12ft retaining wall wedged into a pole. Rescue 62 arrived to provide lighting of the scene while Medic 329-12 evaluated the driver and cleared with a patient refusal. Traffic 62 and fire police detoured traffic around the accident scene while PSP conducted their investigation. Rescue personnel assisted the towing company in removing the vehicle from between the pole and the stone wall. All 62 personnel were able the clear the scene available at 2309Hrs.
