Auto Accident 11/07/2005

Auto Accident w/ Entrapment in Warwick Twp.

  On Monday, November 07, 2005 at 16:34 hours Chester County Dispatch alerted Elver son Fire Co. (Station 32), Ridge Fire Co. (Station 62) for Rescue 62, Goodwill Ambulance (MontCo Medic 329), and Morgantown Fire Co (Station 9) for Engine 9 to Mount Pleasant Rd and County Park Rd for an auto accident reported serious in Warwick Township. While en-route to the scene 62-30 advised that the accident was on Mt Pleasant Rd just north of County Park Rd with one confirmed entrapment patient. The new location placed the scene in Station 62's district. Deputy 62 arrived on scene and placed Aero Medical on stand-by. Station 32 and Engine 9 were advised to continue in and assist with patient extrication and handling the landing zone. MedEvac was then advised to fly. Rescue personnel stabilized the overturned car and began extricating the patient. Rescue personnel opened up the driver's side of the car to gain access to the patient and removed the passenger's side doors and B Post to remove the patient. Engine 9 handled the LZ and patient loading. State Police were on scene handling the investigation. Units cleared by 17:27 Hrs.
