Auto Accident 01/22/2005

Speeding on a snowy road can have (un?)expected results!!

  On Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 03:24 hours Chester County Dispatch alerted Ridge Fire Co. (Station 62) and Spring City Area Ambulance (MlCU 83) for an auto accident with possible Ejection on Ridge Road (Rt23) between West Bridge St and Hoffecker Rd in East Vincent Township. First arriving units reported a minivan on its roof and confIrmed that there was one occupant that was ejected. Deputy 62 arrived on scene and due to the patients severe injuries requested a Medical Helicopter put on stand-by. Rescue 62 arrived on scene and illuminated the scene while firefighters assisted EMS with packaging the patient up for the helicopter ride. The helicopter was requested to fly and MedEvac 3 was dispatched to the scene. Engine 62-2 set-up the LZ at Vincent Elementary School and Captain 62 was the LZ officer. Once MedEvac 3 was on the Ground, fIrefighters assisted the flight crew with loading the patient. All Units were able to clear by 04:23 Hours.
